1992

Founding of the company

Aqua Technologie Nörpel was founded in October 1992 by Clemens Nörpel, a graduate chemical engineer, as an engineering office. In addition to consulting and planning assignments for water treatment plants in the beverage and food industry, the distribution of UV disinfection equipment was part of the company's core business from the very beginning.

First patent application

In 1993, the first patent for "water saving in bottle cleaning" was filed. The development of proprietary and new technologies, most of which are patent-protected, continues to significantly shape the company's operations to this day.

1996

Transition from a pure engineering firm to a plant manufacturer

Assuming full responsibility for the design, construction, and commissioning of water treatment plants for the beverage and food industry as well as horticultural businesses. Expanding existing regional partnerships and forming strategic alliances to realize a wide variety of projects.

2004

First major project for a beverage production facility

Planning and construction of a water treatment plant for a large international beverage production and bottling facility. The design of this water treatment system had to account for a wide range of products, from fruit juices and fruit-juice-based drinks to soft drinks, as well as still and carbonated water.
Other water consumers to be considered included general operations, utility engineering, and the bottling area. A wide variety of water qualities had to be defined to supply the various operational and production areas. The heart of the water treatment system is a central, multi-stage reverse osmosis unit for desalination. Additional functional units include aeration, sand filters, pump stations with UV equipment, ozone impregnation, activated carbon filters, fine filtration with integrated UV equipment, etc.

2010

Relocation to new office building

To meet growing demands, ATN has expanded. Our new company premises are located in Mönsheim near Pforzheim.
We look forward to serving you with the same high quality at our new location.

2014

Successfully completed the largest project in the company's history to date

Complete water treatment for table and soda water for the largest brewery in Thailand, based in Bangkok. In addition to conceptual design, sizing, engineering, and piping layout, the overall contract included the supply of individual components, prefabricated units, and the control system, as well as system installation and commissioning of the entire water treatment plant. On-site installation and piping were carried out in collaboration with a local partner company.
